ULTRAMAT SA (PTY) LTD – BEE INFORMATION

This document is intended to provide our business partners with an insight into Ultramat SA (Pty) Ltd and our strategy and status with respect to Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment. The information provided in this document is as at the 1st of April 2007.

Our aim is to maintain and improve our current level 2 contributor (self assessed) status over the next year. This means for every R1.00 spent with us you can count R1.25 for your BEE spend!!

Our current turnover results in our company being measured as a qualifying small enterprise. As such we have chosen the following four categories to be measured in, out of a possible score of 100. We are aware of the other categories and although not applicable in terms of our measurement, we will focus on improving our BEE status in all seven categories, so that when we move out of the category of QSE we are able to maintain our status. The categories scored are as follows:

1. Employment Equity
   We currently score 27 points in this category.
   
2. Skills Development
   We score a full 25 points here.
   
3. Preferential Procurement
   We are currently spending more than 40% on BEE suppliers therefore we currently score a full 25 points in this category.
   
4. Socio-Economic Development (SED)
   We currently have spent 40% of the target therefore the points scored are 10.
